WhatTimeIsItIn...? is a free world clock and time zone reference tool covering more than 1,400 cities across every country on Earth. It was built to answer one of the most common questions in international life: what time is it right now in [city]?
Whether you need to schedule a meeting with a colleague in Tokyo, check in on family in New York, plan a call with a client in Dubai, or simply satisfy your curiosity about what time it is on the other side of the world — WhatTimeIsItIn...? gives you an instant, accurate answer.
All times are calculated live in your browser using the IANA time zone database — the same standard used by every major operating system, smartphone, and programming language. Times update every second and automatically account for Daylight Saving Time wherever it applies.
Every time displayed on this site is calculated in real time by your browser using the IANA Time Zone Database (also known as the tz database or zoneinfo). This is the world's most authoritative and widely-used source of time zone information, maintained by a global team of volunteers and updated whenever countries change their time zone rules.
The IANA database is built into every major operating system (Linux, macOS, Windows, iOS, Android) and programming language. It contains historical and current rules for every time zone on Earth, including all past and future Daylight Saving Time transitions.
Because times are calculated client-side in your browser rather than fetched from a server, they are accurate to the second and update continuously without any network requests after the page loads.
WhatTimeIsItIn...? is an independent project built and maintained by a developer based in Dublin, Ireland. It was created out of a genuine need — working across time zones is a daily reality for anyone with an international network, and having a fast, clean, comprehensive world clock in one place makes that easier.
The site is ad-supported and free to use. There are no accounts, no tracking beyond standard analytics, and no data collection. If you find it useful, the best thing you can do is share it with someone who needs it.
For questions, feedback, or to report an inaccuracy in any of the time zone data, you can reach us at: hello@whattimeisitin.net
We particularly welcome reports of any cities or countries that are missing, or any time zone rules that appear to be out of date. The IANA database is updated regularly, and we aim to keep the site current.
